THE WILLARD SUITCASES
MARY AND THE HERETICS
In 2022 I orchestrated Julianne Wick Davis' song cycle: The Willard Suitcases. The song cycle tells fictional stories based off of photographs taken of the Willard Asylum by Jon Crispin in Willard, New York. Here is a selection from one of my favorite pieces!
Mary and the Heretics is a new musical written and orchestrated by Joey Joseph-Jubayr. It follows the story an all girls Catholic school that bans rock music, and four girls that rebel by starting a rock band called the Heretics. This story of friendship, religion, and sexuality is about become in the most authentic version of yourself, even when those around you stand in your way.
